Hector & Ahillis The Death of a Trojan Hero
Wherever Hector tried to place his spear Achilles parried it with the shield. Hector had to stay close so that Achilles had no room to use his spear. He charged in again, and again Achilles brushed aside the spear. It was Hector’s speed that killed him. As he ran in to attack again, he skewered himself on Achilles’ spear. The warrior stepped back, lowered the point and forced Hector down, twitching and curling about the spear that pinned him through his throat to the bloody ground.
